Acquisition de Knock About par PeeWee Campers
Ven 24 Mar 2017, 18:46
Standard Features of the Knockabout
Our most basic camper at PeeWee Campers, is the KnockAbout. Because it's our "VW of campers," it has a very limited number of features and options when compared to the Half Pint, our "Cadillac of campers."
The Knockabout is a DIY-er's dream come true. Because the walls are made of solid plywood (covered with factory-baked white aluminum), you can attach practically anything to them. (Well, not a 1,000-lb. wrecking ball, but you get the idea!) If you want to install shelves, cabinets, gun racks, fishing pole holders, bike racks, curtain rods, mini-blinds, or a TV—no problem.
All of the Following Features Are Included in the KnockAbout
Small Enough for One - Big Enough for Two
Outside Dimensions:
12'-5" long - from tongue to rear
69" high - from the ground to the top of the roof vent
80" wide - from fender to fender
Inside Dimensions: 59”W x 96"L x 46"H
Weight: 665 lbs.
Features Included in Price
- AC - 5000 BTU
- 59" shelf for interior storage
- Edge trim - aluminum diamond plate
- Electrical 110 outlets - 4
- Entry door - 36” X 26” locking door with tinted safety glass sliding window and screen
(can be installed on either side or in the rear) - Fenders - brushed aluminum
- License plate holder
- Roof vent - 14” X 14”
- Vinyl floor covering
- Wheel custom dress-up kit
Construction
- Floor:
3/4" plywood, rubber-undercoated. Supported by 6 steel cross members in the frame. - Walls:
Solid plywood with factory baked-on white enamel over aluminum on the inside and outside
Trailer Frame and Axle
- Welded steel frame made of HD 3/16" channel steel with 6 cross members
(NOT a thin, bolt-together frame like many small campers have) - A-frame tongue of HD channel steel
(NOT a straight-line tongue like most small campers) - Recessed carry-all shelf on A-frame tongue
- 3,500 lb. Dexter HD axle with sealed hubs
(NOT a 2,000-lb axle like most small campers have) - Front jack with wheel for easy maneuvering by hand
- Tow hitch for 2" ball
- Receiver hitch - welded to the frame in the rear for use with accessory carriers such as bike racks
- 7-Prong trailer wire connection
(90% of all modern vehicles accept the round 7-prong connector with 7 flat pins. UNLIKE a 4-prong connection used in many small campers, the 7-prong allows you to charge a deep cycle battery if you add one to your camper.) - Two folding stabilizer jacks at rear
- Step plate behind each fender - can be used for bolting on storage boxes, batteries, or just for standing on to access roof rails or to wash the camper.
- LED running lights, tail lights, and brake lights
- 15" silver, slotted-spoke wheels with chrome trim ring and hub/lug cover
- 6-ply 15” tires
(NOT 13" tires like most small campers have)
