"A quick walk through sections of the Gidget factory at 11 Deakin Street, Brendale, Queensland, Australia. All of this video was shot on the same morning from a quick walk through the factory. Gidget campers are all custom made to customer order under one roof at our factory. We only outsource hot dip galvanising of our chassis to a Brisbane company. Gidgets are Australian made, designed and owned. Every component that is part of the Gidget body is custom made by hand by our team of experienced craftsmen, cabinetmakers, wood machinists, metal fabricators and welders, fibreglass fabricators, painters, upholsterers, fitters and installers and electricians....all under one roof. All installed third party items like our Gidget cooktop, mono crystalline solar panel system, hopper windows, upholstery felts, cushions, custom smoothie steel wheels, axle and brake assemblies are made for us to our specific designs and specifications for our Gidgets by external manufacturers under contract to our company. Our Gidget designs are deliberately over engineered, made with Australian steel and built tough to last.
Gidget Retro Teardrop Camper was awarded the Moreton Bay Region Innovation Awards 2016 PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD this year."
